my bad, for some reason I thought the modified Weir Professional Eaton played was the "Dot" model. Clearly it is the Vine model: Serves me right for going on memory instead of pics.

Now as far as the 2680 being night and day from the 2681, I kind of disagree with that. I have owned both and really the differences are almost exclusively ornamental (vine inlay vs. dot; purfling,headstock inlay, etc....)
The guts and soul of the guitar as well as the playability and sound are identical when you compare the 2680 to 2681.It is strictly the ornamental appointments that differ.

come on hellhole - the place was jammin!!! i mean DSO busted out greats like "leave your hat on" and "satellite". Place was packed - i'd say maybe 45 people there.
