Has anyone else read the new Thomas Pynchon book? It is a break from his books that are hard to start and too long to finish.. it's only about 250 pages full of noir PI, hippy paranioa, rousting flatfoot cops, and surfers and their babes..
if anyone is out looking for a good read full of situational quips that are so funny you have to read them to others, this is a great book.

I'm about fourty pages in... and it's still pretty dense writing. Nowhere near as tough a slog as Gravity's Rainbow, but pretty heady for what it is.

I'm enjoying it!
