You're kidding I hope, yes?no im not kidding. you can do so much cool stuff with bobbys parts in jer songs. and his vocals are all mid range, which is another huge plus. if you have proper control of your fretboard doin bobby can be the funnest thing about gd, cept jamming jerrys leads lol. but alot of the songs there is so much space for experimenting on bobbys part, i mean you can figure out 4-5 different ways to play that stuff. a good "generic" bobby lick can be laid down over every chord or change. play the songs in every position.

Jerry sounds like he has a noteably uncomfortable buzz going.
Not much "Stellar" Jerry solo'ing to my ear (sounds more like maybe a case of paranoia set in).
It sounds more like he is just trying to get through the gig.
There are alot of places where he's not even playing, which, fwiw, is nice for us Loopers to cop some loop segments.
I read some reviews of the stellar 20 min Sugaree, but to me it sounds more like Jerry is hiding out for 20 min in the comfort zone of Sugaree, trying to pull it together.
Most of his riff-age sounds basic and repetative (he plays the same lick over and over in Samson and Del), and seems unable to get any consistant speed or accuracy going... kind of a fumble-fingers thing that day, to my ear.
I heard it was and end-of-run show, so maybe a case of too much too fast that day.
Row Jimmy has pretty much the-worst slide playing I've ever heard (please tell me that's Bobby, but I don't think so).
Also, I don't think the Travis Bean is a good match for the MuTron III either, which sounds thin/nasal on this Estimated, to my ear.
Another hint that things aren't going well for Jer this day... he butchers the ending of Playing In The Band, which is like the only time I've ever heard him miss the count so badly.
I'm obviously being hyper critical of Jerry's playing on this date, and as far as I can tell everyone else thinks this release is just great (from reviews I've read)... but to this Jerry-ologists ear, there are alot of other dates during this timeframe where Jer is much much more "ON".
) but do remember afterward thinking that it was a "good" show but nothing to be ecstatic over. So, when I saw all the hype on dead.net and elsewhere, I had to play my (non-official) SBD of the show. I still think it is a decent show and fairly representative, but it was no Englishtown.
