Shakedown,

Here is a little phrase I put together which always comes to mind when you have to deal with jealous people.

"If you have the means, then by all means."

Life is too short anyway to worry about what people think about your guitar or anything else about which they decide to judge you.

And if you decide you can't bear the guilt of owning it, I would be glad to accept it as your contribution to my soon to be RU KIND FANTASY FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.

Hey man, I love the Dead and Phish, and jam band music so much i'm not even envious, just happy for you. I think its great that there are instruments of this caliber being made, and being wanted. DOes anyone remember the nightmare days when if you didn't have a BC Rich-- you just weren't a guitarist!!!!!lol.

So screw em. I would imagine the people bitching we're the ones who went to the shows just for the hash and whatever the hell kids are doing these days!!!!!

I think it's great that "custom" and "botique" are now somewhat affordable. Was a time when "custom" equaled either something the famous could only afford (think Dumble) or a snazzy branding by Fender/Gibson etc which had nothing custom about it.

It's a beautiful thing that us hobby players have stepped it up and allowed more and more smaller shops to thrive!

It works well for the player, the shop and ears nationwide!

Play it with pride, brother!

I didn't know that resurrection made Wolf replicas. Does anyone hav any pics of one, I would love to see it.
As far as people hating your guitar, I just see it as envy or jealousy. That is how I feel about any sort of negativity, people are just jealous. They see you doing something that YOU want to do and they wish they could but for some reason they would rather pull you down to make themselves feel better about their own faults then try and encourage you. I am guilty of doing thngs like this myself, but I guess as I get older I am becoming more aware of it.

If I could get a doc like that I would in 2.5 secs. For sure, jam the fuck out of that thing when you get it. Get some renters insurance just in case, to protect your investment.

And  with your bad self!!

I have a friend who is a huge deadhead and a CAD technician. I asked him if he could enlarge pictures and make design templates etc. He said he could probably, I told him that I wanted to build a Wolfand he got all excited and said he would help me if he could. All I am trying to do is get the shape and size of the guitar precisely. I don't think building the body will be that hard. As far as the neck goes, I think I will see what this guy can do...http://www.soulmateguitars.com

The wolf project is going to be in the future, actually probably a long way off. Before I get into that one I want to build a strat kit from www.wdmusic.com to get some understanding of electronics and set up etc. Then I am going to get a WGD body and put together a tiger like thing. There are some nice pics on the Warmoth site of a few. I will probably hit up Jack of Roses for a bunch of stuff. My ultimate dream is to have a completely handmade rig that I do myself, guitars, amps, pedals the whole works.

My very first project will be to replace the guts of my crybaby wah with a drop in kit from BYOC. So this is going to be an ongoing thing that I hope to kick off in the next year or so once I pay off my car and credit card. Not to mention take some lessons and play more.
