"Don't you want to share the music with people that might enjoy it. Especially newcomers?

Maybe if the whole world was listening to the Grateful Dead it would be a better place.[/quote]

Your right. Good point I guess what I have a problem with is the mass marketing of an "idea" like what happened with the Woodstock Anniversary Festivals. I guess there is no way around this though.
..and yes If I bought a car such as a lexus with a killer sound system, I would want the GD premium sound package complete with its own Phil zone.
:o

Man, what is up with all the fucking negativity in the GD community. Too often I hear bitching, complaining, whining, etc... And in reality most have good lives. What about being happy and enjoying life?

theres only so many times you can say i'm happy, saying this is good is alot less fun than discussing what is bad because good things dont need fixing like bad things. if the entire world were a utopia what would people talk about?

i'm just saying do you get more into a discussion when you're talking about how good your refridgerator works or how bad it works

as a human negativity comes natural, but no more than being positive, people who try to look on the bright side of life all the time are limiting their experience. life isnt all good or all bad, i think you're just focusing on the fact that this discussions mostly negative. theres plenty of goodwill and positives on this site, just look in a post about jerry or phil. but since we're talking about starbucks most of the energy here is negative because most of us dont like them or their "image". i'd rather have everyone in here bitch about starbucks than everyone in here pretend to like them, so they're not accused of being downers or whiners

gp123, my comments aren't exclusively to this site but the scene in general hence I said "the GD community." I see it on any and every GD/jamband site I am active on, browse or lurk.

i figure the jam scenes just on a negative trip cause noone has taken up the dead/phish/sci mantel yet. i mean thats gotta be a comedown, not having a band to follow thats dynamic and exciting every night
