In my tenure as a lowly Starbucks employee I saw more fine women walk through the door than pretty much anywhere else (save on a college campus of course). What can i say, sexy young ladies love their lattes. But true, whether they are 'nice girls' are not is a different matter entirely.

buying dead cds at starbucks seems wac,i do think some of the coffees are good but a little overpriced, and i recently saw a really good Neil Young cd, and a good Bob Dylan disc at starbucks, but i have a dresser with each different drawer full of bootlegs all on cassette, and i havent had a cassette player in ten years, its more like a musuem piece than a musical resource, and my wife(who listens to disco)is dying for me to get rid of it soo.. for the small cost of 21.99 a thousand hours of GD can be yours,purchase includes a tag sale dresser, and a free can of Maxwell house coffee

There are no unreleased tunes on the CD as far as I can tell. All of the live tunes are either from Skullfuck and Europe 72. The NFA sounds like it's from the Dead Set bonus tracks.

jackr: I do not think this is the work of the widow. When the GD sold their control over to Rhino all this stuff went with it. GD still remains control over what is released so it had to have the guys approval. I do not think it is a bad idea. Anything that keeps the band out there and picking up new fans can only lead to more stuff being released.
A general question: Does anyone have a guess as to how many copies the average DP sells? Thanks just curious.

These days I guess thats true. But in my case none ever took any interest in a skinny, scruffy looking hippie like me.

I view this one with bemused resignation. what are ya gonna do? DKG is in charge of the estate, Rhino has the vault. I expect nothing less. Also, these guys are for the most part in retirement or approaching fast.

I am sorry but I fail to see what all the fuss it about. So what that starbucks is selling Grateful Dead cds. I wouldnt care if they had them in autodealerships either. When I bought my lexus with a nackamichi (spelling?) sound system it came with a 4 cd compelation. It would have been great if some dead was on it.

Don't you want to share the music with people that might enjoy it. Especially newcomers?

Maybe if the whole world was listening to the Grateful Dead it would be a better place.

i popped into sb this morning, there is a studio and live side. over the weekend i'll hang in the sb and ask them to throw it on. its oregon, i'm sure they'd be more then happy to appease.

man starbucks is evil, i'm telling ya right now. they try to act so nice and friendly and the lady who made my lattee made it with skin milk not whole then tried too deny it, when i had just watched her do it. this is what i payed $8 for?!?!
