And you know we all dig peaking. :p
ROTFLMAO!
Well since I can’t play with my bands, I’ve been messing more with equipment. This thread has me back on the path to the ultimate grab ‘n go rig. I’ve got both a Valeton Coral and a Joyo American Sound on the way.
I also just bought a 3U rack. My “big rig” is currently a 2U rack with an Alembic F-2B stereo preamp>Carvin DCM200L stereo power amp>two 1x12s loaded with JBL K120s (one with a hemp cone). I’m going to add an Alembic SF-2 Superfilter that I’ve have lying around.
Sorry for the brief detour. Now back to the regularly scheduled thread. I’m looking at several small power amp options, but that Carvin Mach 100 is looking awful good.
Bill, tgo
Ohhh, nice rig, I bet the hemp cone on the JBL smooths out some of the ice, nice
I love my Carvin Mach 100 - it’s so small and powerful for its size. Also, I realized that even though it has the “wart” on the power cord, it IS narrow enough to effectively tuck it under even the smallest of boards like you would the power supply. With something like the Pedal train spark power supply it would first easy even on a small
Board.
In regards to the issue of wanting to bridge the amp for the total 100w. I did some research and found out that the best way to do it may be to wire your single cab with parallel input jacks. Then simply plug in both speaker cables from the Carvin and the cab then wires them in parallel to the speaker. Havn’t tried this year, but sounds promising
