I would worry more about denting the fretboard with the low strings.

Just took a picture, fellas. I don't baby my guitars, but I certainly don't abuse them. The '60 burst has 54 years of playwear on it and I wouldn't sell it for anything nor would I trade it for a mint or clean one. I love the sound and the character that comes with playing it...in my case 1-4 hours daily.

Hmm. The way I see it is the strings are hitting the frets before the fretboard when resting against something that way. Ive never had any issues with dinging the fretboard anyhow, and I have seen lotsa necks dinged in the back (often multiple dings) which seem to be right where one would lean the guitar against something. I imagine one would have to drop the guitar against something to get a ding on the neck back rather than the mere weight of it stationary causing harm. But I do find those neck dings annoying after awhile, and I seen lots of those and never noticed a similar fretboard indentation/ding.
