Awesome job Leo!

It plays wonderfully and was worth the wait. Everything about this guitar is top notch. The finish and detail work is nicely done. I had a special request on the neck and he hit a home run with that as well.

Right now it is loaded with a blaster, 2 super distortions(only coil cut is in the center) and an sds-1. Also have 3 DAllen 69's inside another ring that can be swapped in with little effort thanks to Leo installing din plugs. Haven't tried the Dallens yet but I am sure they are going to sound fantastic.

If you are considering a custom guitar, I highly recommend Scarlet Fire!

Just another beauty- this is getting boring...

So tell me about swapping pickup plates, I'm planning on doing the same with Wolfish at some point. It didn't seem quite so easy- don't you need to swap out the pots and capacitors when going from humbuckers to single coils (500 for 250s and .022s for .047s?? Maybe with the pots you can figure you get to 250 halfway down (if they're linear), but won't the caps be too dark or bright? Or are they set up fo easy swaping too?

Not especially I used a .047 for the neck and .02 for M and B . The Wolf continued to have a 250/250k M/B tone pot long after it had humbuckers. And the TB used .02 with single coils. I am not sure what Wolf had pre-SDS but, I did not notice any loss of tone.If there is any discernible difference, how ever slight, it is a trade off for having two Wolf incarnations in one .

Ha! Like the 10-12 months until Tiger came along?

Interesting how we get the final versions of Alligator and Wolf stuck in our minds when they were "works in progress" and not like that for most of their working lives.

I absolutely LOVE my Scarlet Fire Wolf that I was lucky enough to buy second hand from a fellow forum member...great guy...great guitar. I'll be ordering another one from Leo as soon as I unload some gear! BTW...Leo has been kind enough to answer my questions thoroughly and has been generous with his time and knowledge, even though I bought the guitar second hand.

I will be ordering another soon!

Richie

Here's mine with my 1960 Gibson les Paul Sunburst....

I always loved the figure on that guitar. When I have a customer ask what popcorn figure is , I point them to that guitar.

I noticed your pictures of the scarlet fire and vintage les paul had them resting against the guitar amp face forward. Perhaps that was just to take pictures...but I try to avoid putting guitars in that position because it can lead to indentations/dings on the back of the neck. I always flip them around and rest the fretboard (with strings padding it) agsinst an amp or furniture etc. I also find they are less prone to sliding to one side and falling down when propped up in this direction. I love guitar stands but that doesn't work always with multiple guitars. Alas its probably only for pics but I would hate to see those beauties get dings in the neck profile
