Short notice, I know...

The Road's drummer's mother is being admitted to the hospital and he needs to bold down to Florida...

So, we're looking for a sit-in stickman for a gig this Saturday, 10/23. Gig is from 3-8 (opening band taking the first hour or so) and load-in is @ 1:30. Paying gig, plus all the chili and beer you could want!

If you're a drummer who could fill the bill - or know of someone who might - drop me a PM. Or better, call: 202-270-0175.

Thx!
Chuck Caspari

Rusty: It never was a goal we set, but just due to the makeup of the band we end up doing a lot of community charity/fundraising events, most all kid-related such as scholarship funds, foster-child program benefits and the like. They don't pay a whole lot (like, nothing), but we're all pretty involved in these types of things and enjoy donating time and what little talent we have... Oddly enough, even our soon-to-be regular monthly Sat night residence at a local club is going to be early hours - 8-10:30PM monthly - so that they can bring on their hipster DJ at 11! As we're pretty much all old and decrepit, the early hours aren't at all a bad thing - just kinda works out that way... not that we have anything against late-night rages, of which we do play plenty. 8)

@ Keir: I'll be specifically seeking out Chief Wiggum's special recipe using The Merciless Peppers of Quetzlzacatenango! DOH!

Back to the gig this Sat, we've lined up Charles Mitchell from Section Eight and Solar Circus, though it's looking more like our regular guy might be able to make it, as his mom is doing a bit better... Hmmm... maybe a chance to have twin kits!

400 block of East Alexandria, right off Mt Vernon, 3-8 - we play starting about 4.

It' actually more of a block party and hence wasn't advertized, but there will be chili and beer galore, from what I hear. C'mon down and sit in a couple!
