I'm not sure i just have been playing allot latley and back in the day i used to get out an old sterio and record myself on tape, and solo over that, i don't even have a sterio that can do that anymore so, i guess not a hell of allot, for example right now all i want to do to play B to E for some Sugaree soloing, so a few minutes...

Some options I have used:

Boss RC-20XL - small decent recording time
Boss RC-50 - My current looper, great device, only issue is the horrible sound quality when changing tempos.

One I would like to try:

Fender G-DEC series - the new series (15/30 watt) has an SD card reader for recording your own loops - a few bars of sugaree and your in business.

Good luck!....PS your MC300 DS is our for delivery - woohoo!

Never used anything in the few minutes mark. However, the Line6 M13 has a looper that does about a minute. Lots of FX and a loopoer taboot! cool box.

Many of us here use a digitech Jamman.

I LOVE mine.

Boss RC-50 is pretty much the stuff.

The RC-20xl is nice too, but I didn't like the limit of 11 loops and the lack of readout as to what loop it's on. Other than that, it's nice.

Digitech/Lexicon JamMan is really good too, but a bit noisy. That's the only downside there that I see. Maybe the newer versions of the JamMan have addressed this issue.

The Line6 Looper was very disappointing. Not practical at all to work with. Too much emphasis on sub-menus and amp modeling and effects, and NOT straight up loop performance. It got returned quickly.

Boomerang has a new unit out too. It's probably pretty good.

Electro Harmonix has a cool 4-track looper, but has limitations regarding storing numerous loops.

.............and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one - big hitter, the Lama - long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. ..........
