Does anyone find it a little pointless to start an auction with a blind reserve at 99 cents? I mean, If you have a price your firm on, why would you have to guess for it? It just seems kinda like playing a pointless game of hide and go seek.

You make a good point, that's probably why Ebay has that pointless and unprofessional selling tchnique, to keep people hooked into the site with their fingers on the pulse at all times... And sadistically minded people like to use it to torture their customers, kinda like watching pirhana feed on a goldfish i guess. All auctions start somewhere where the item WILL sell for at the lowest starting price if no one bids... Damn I'm in a crappy mood....
