Guys,
The Mutron is in the shop and I had to take the Q Tron out of storage. Unfortunately the settings are all way off, can anyone post a quick and dirty on a nice mellow Mutronic like tone? BTW its the old school big wooden box version.
Thanks.

It depends on how hot the signal is going into the box, is it a Qtron+ or regular Qtron, I use the plus. If it is anything like mine, I would start things out at 12 o'clock on the peak, sens, and put the guitar on the middle pickup and use LP or BP settting with low feq. Every guitar seems to act a little different through those pedals.... Hope that helps, JB

Oh yhea, I used to live in Gwynedd Valley years ago, I went to high school in Ft. Washington.

Whats up dude, I'm also in Philly (Northeast). I have the same QTron, for the Estimated / Shakedown sound, I usually put it to LP mode, Lo Range, and start the Peak and Gain at around 9:00 and go from there, usually turning gain down. Drive (up)

While on the topic though...

Has anyone discovered any cool ways to get any other sounds out of the QTron or or various envelope filters? Like some funk or reggae sounds? It'd be cool to know how to get other sounds out of this thing. I just don't have the space to plug all my stuff in at home or I'd try it myself.

That did it.
Thanks

Count me in for that guitar summit...but as a listener. Skills aren't really high enough to properly jam. Work downtown, live in the NE suburbs.

The dancing in the streets by the dead around 77-78 up envelope is funky, but as always your dynamics make the box sing or flop, I am using it right now to get harmonic growls as I solo in some fusion blues songs we do with a fuzz and octave up. I can solo super fast while it is tracking me going up and down creating amazing harmonics and sounds. I only use that with fast solo's.

you can get it to make vowel sounds use Band pass but in the high mode messing with the sensitivity and peak. I think inly the Qtron+ has some extra knobs to really open up doors like that.

On my guitar (super 2's with OBEL) peak and gain need to be somewhere around 7 - 8 o'clock - ish
