When it doesn't fit anywhere else

Anyone play any Blind Faith with their bands? I was just listening to 'Had to Cry Today.' I freaking love that tune... love playing it, love listening to it. It just feels like 1969. You know?

I've been working on a decent acoustic guitar version of Can't Find My Way Home for Ages. Still not at the stage where I can air it in public though.

I have this DVD and it has a great version of that song and it teaches it rather well:

Absolutely love Blind Faith....in my top 3 albums of all time not dead related.

We do Can't find my way home, are working on Had to cry today. Another good one is Well Alright even though its a Buddy Holly cover. I really love Do what you like....psychedelic music at its finest.

There is a Steve Winwood tab site that breaks down a lot of his songs. I am at work and don't have the link handy. I found it by poking around on the 'net

Yes! Gotta have that site. I'm sure through some Googling I could locate it but if you can post it when you get a chance that would be awesome.

Thanks, man!

Do What You Like, yeah that is nasty stuff.

5/4 time sig as well, which is one of my favorites.

I get down with the 3 and 2 feel of the 5/4. It is like its own call and response every measure. Percolator by Stereolab is another that hits the 5/4 pretty nicely.

My dead band used to do Had to Cry Today back in the 80s - loved playing that tune.

If you like "Do What You Like", may I recommend the version on the "Ginger Baker's Airforce" first album, along with some other very good music. Airforce was Ginger Baker's group immediately after Blind Faith. Check it out and thank me later!

You are right on about Ginger Bakers Air force version
I lost that album but loved it

I think Ginger Baker is my all time favorite drummer. it is a hard call though between him, Keith Moon and John Bonham...guess I am classic old school
