I live in Chapel Hill and I know of a band in Raleigh called Better off Dead. The guitar player holds a musicians meet up every Sunday afternoon in Raleigh.

I did my undergrad at UNC-W but that was long ago...when I was there there were only about 5 deadheads in the whole area! Things have probably changed much since I left in '87!! I do have a friend who still lives there, but he was more a rasta than into the boys.
