FUM SUB refers to F&M Student Union Board, F&M is Franklin & Marshall College. We Fummers in referring to F&M said "Fum". The Student Union Board put on the Dead concert in the Mayser Gym at F&M in April, 1971. The T-shirts available for the concert had FUM SUB. Apparently, Jerry liked the F&M T-Shirts displaying "FUM SUB."
