I've really been diggin my Early Bobby rig lately (thanks Jonarobb for the JBLs and Glenn at Hardtruckers for my new 2x12 cab!) and want to improve my guitar. I'm using a Schecter CS/H-1 (small bodied hollowbody). It's a basic $600 guitar but I seem to be able to play the hell out of it. Getting good good tones. I think I'd improve it by changing out the stock Duncan Design pickups for some 57 Classics.
Question 1 - What's the difference in tone between the 57 Classic and 57 Classic Plus? Both are marked "PAF" on the back.
Question 2 - This guitar is really putting out 335 tone, hence my desire to go to Gibson 57s. Anything better out there for that old old woody hollowbody tone?
