I think its funny how standard the Jam>Any Song has become for both Phil and Bob in their individual bands... and theres that silly little jam right into TMNS... which I'm just at the end of now. The band sounds on top of their shit... from what I can hear, Warren & Chimenti have stepped up to the plate. Everyone is listening to everyone. Life is Good.

I actually kind of like the effect... makes it seem like all of the songs are being pulled out of out of a collective dream that we all had years and years ago... which is pretty much the truth...

Been hearing it ever since Warren joined Phil & Friends in 2000.

Boy, I sure hope they tighten up Estimated! Bob totally missed his opening cue, and then just kept missing cues after every single line of verse...consistently through the whole song! wth?? That's not supposed to be some sort of improvement to the arrangement, is it? Warren sounds pretty decent here- I was mostly listening to see how he did... wake up, Bob!!

Warren was the star of the show I think last nite....lots of dreamy extended jams out of each song, I can dig it. Bob needs to wake up....totally flubbed Estimated, which of course is one of his own! Come on BOB!

Parking lot and shakedown St. was the highlight of the night! Lots of fun.

Ah, I love hearing about the shows, it's making me psyched for the Gorge, which is the only show I can catch. I remember Greensboro in '81 since I had moved to NC for High School, and we drove over to G'boro (45 min) and thought it an awesome "road trip"!

Here's the word I received from a friend at the show:

"Last night's show was life-changing. One might think that they would have a warmup tour-opener "meat n potatos" show...but no, hell no. The boys delved into some serious weirdness last night, turned it inside-out and then smoked it. When, if ever, is Warren going to stop outdoing himself? He was so incredible and tasteful...such an incredibly different role than w/ABB or Mule...but no less devastating. He led, but in a background kind of way. The core-four just created this swelling sea of ridiculousness and Haynes just peppered it with tasty lickins all night...and of course his vocals were incredible! Say what you will, but Phil and Bobby...and Billy and Mickey were just totally inspired! Chimenti played fantastic keys all night. If would be shocked if the people who were disappointed with WH getting the gig still felt that way...the people who attended Greensboro anyhow. Its going to be a hell of a circus, that tour. Anybody who's going better "tighten up there shoes!"
