Alright i just have a quick question. I was smoking like all day then, like 3 weeks ago i went to a concert and tripped out really hard. And since then i have had no desire to smoke. It isnt like i wont, but it just isnt appealing. Just curious if shit like this has ever happened to anyone else. And are do flashbacks really happen cause i dont think ive ever had one.

I have not done enough drugs to have flashbacks occur, but I believe they are real. As for the other thing, yea, my interest in drugs come and go. Sometimes it's all I wanna do and sometimes I'm just turned of of it.

Desires all have ebbs and flows (except for the sex desire, which never goes away :) )
As for flashbacks, how do you know you're not having one now?
Seriously, though, I've definitely had them to differing degrees. No big deal.

flashbacks happen, but usually you need to have taken a lot, and I mean, a lot of acid in your day. Different things can trigger them, like say, smoking weed. This is after years and years of use though, with a flashback happening many years after as well. As for desire, I know what you're talking about, however, for me personally, when i'm on psychedelics, that is when i feel no desire for using other drugs, like marijuana, alcohol. I usually just laughed at the thought of them. But hey man, either way, breaks are good. Don't get too caught up in any of it though, always have a path out, and my advice is, use that path eventually.

Don't drink, only smoke pot in my waking hours, and I have dosed at least 500 times in my life I guess and I have yet to have a flashback ... or else I'm having them all the time .... but I don't really think my life is that weird ..... hmmmm ... interesting thought ....

I have tripped hundreds of times and taken massive massive doses. Never had a flashback and also never felt like not smoking! (until that is I was really ready to stop everything)

Well just in case I never do have a flash back I am going to dose myself silly at The New Years Yonder run in Denver

just smoke the joint, and you should say something along the lines of "oh ya, this is why I smoke" :D

I'm definitely in the group that would be "eligible" to have flashbacks. It has never happened. Nor has it ever happened to anyone that I know - and I know lots of people in the same boat. I really think that the whole flashback thing was just propoganda spread during the late 60's.

However, I did quit smoking cigarettes after tripping. I was walking around a dead show and it seemed to me that everyone that was smoking looked unhealthy - I mean REALLY unhealthy - like gross - and they seemed to be to have a pall of death surrounding them. That was it for me. I know that it was only the acid talking - but for once it told me something good!

I stopped all drugs quite a while ago though. I think that the pall of death surrounds most drugs too.

I've had a similar type experience, except with shrooms. The past 5 months or so I've been eating a lot of mushshrooms, almost weekly. I've been eating shrooms (occasionally 'cid) for ~ 7 years now as a reference. This past summer repeated mushrooms trips convinced me to finally stop smoking weed because it was inhibiting me from reaching my full potential athletically, mentally, and generally served to numb my senses and inhibit my energy and vitality. In general I feel psychedelics done responsibly promote better, healthier living and higher achievement. I think I might eat some more and go mountain biking tomorrow.

As for flashbacks, I've eaten alot of shrooms, not really too much 'cid, but I'll get genuine flashbacks every six months or so. Usually they occur either when I'm tired, or when I am running in the woods. I also find it possible to naturally work myself into the mind set if something strikes me so.

I've eaten gobs of lsd and never had a flashback either, I thought I was having one once til someone told me they had dumped a load of acid into the punch...no one else i know has had one either...

I also had that experience of seeing smokers on lsd looking death like wreathed in their smoke....but i also saw a lot of other shit far stranger than that :D

as vonnegut said lsd is the breakfast of champions :)
