Right in my backyard, to boot! Check out the ending for sure, the place is upside-down-berzerk with energy! Even Billy is jumping up and down pounding away on the cymbals and gives a big fist pump as he walks off! Sweet recording too, esp. for 1985!

PS - this has nothing to do with anything, but dontcha just hate when you write or type a word and it looks totally wrong? It just happened to me with the word "Cymbals" from above. I was like "wait, what a weird spelling for a word....that doesn't look right" but sure enough I looked it up and it is.

Anyways.... :?

Yea the Cumberland County show was great ... Day Tripper was fun .... the place was dosed to the gils .... then in the post space segment they did an inverted playin' that had us all a bit confused ... really fun show with some great energy in the audience

Until I just looked it up I didn't know they only played 5 Daytrippers. I evidently caught 2 of them in '85 including this one.

Little story on this Portland one. I was with some friends and we split up before the show and hooked back up just before it started. One guy said he had seen jerry in a limo and that he'd yelled to jg something like "Hey jerry, how about a Daytripper tonight?" and jerry nodded yes. This guy was more of a friend of a friend to me so with that and considering that we'd eaten some shrooms I know I was pretty skeptical as were the others. "Yea right, Daytripper" was sort of the consensus...Until, of course, they played it.

I think I caught 11 of 13 shows on this tour.

85 is the best year ever? Does that make '72 absolute shit? Come on. I can see having an affinity for it because of sentimental reasons but really.
