Hi all-

I am putting together my first real Jerry rig and am in need of an MC50. I don't imagine ever needing more power than the MC50, but am open to other suggestions. I have been checking eBay and other sellers and have not found one for a reasonable price, or where people are selling only 1.

Does anyone have a sense of how much I should be willing to pay for one of these Mc50s ? I see one on eBay for 999. There is also one for $700 that looks pretty beat up.

I have read here that they can be had for 45-500 if one is patient. Can I expect to have to have work done to it ? What does that cost.

I got mine two years ago on eBay for $260. It worked, but I recapped it, and added quarter inch in and out. It was missing the Mcintosh symbol, and had a few pitted spots. Anything over $500 is too much in my opinion.

Awesome...Thanks Searing. I declined the guy's counter offer of $650 for the more beat up one. I might end up buying the pair offered together and re-selling one. The auction is at 750 for both now. They look in amazing condition.

Indeed, but the final cost is yet to be determined. I will gladly sell the second one to someone on here at cost if it comes to it.

I'm with you on that, but it's a bit early for me to have to buy 2 at once, considering the expense of the other things I purchased this week. (SMS and K120).
