When it doesn't fit anywhere else

Looks like Phil has listed his home for sale. I remember a few years back, when Jerry's Nicasio home went up for sale. I think it finally closed for around 2 mill (apparently, the market has bounced back). I always get a kick out of catching a glimpse of how these guys live outside of the band.

Plus, as the listing notes, you cannot go wrong with a fountain of youth in your backyard.

Part of the reason California homes bring such high prices is there is a law propty taxes can only be raised like 2% annually. Compared to the Tri-state area where prop'ty taxes are routinely $20k-30k/year for common track homes (which jacks up rents and suppresses sale prices I might add).

Real Estate is still one of the best investments. I'm sure there are thoughts of that for the kids and grand kids.
