Hmmm... other than the neck thru, which Alligator didn't have, I don't see much Jerry about this one. I would say it would not be a good candidate for an Alligator, and not much on the Jerry side for other periods either. The body looks to be solid mahogany, the pups EMG, and I don't see a single thing about it that relates to Alembic... sorry, but I just didn't want an inexperienced buyer to be disappointed.

Yup, you are correct, and I should have looked at it closer prior to sharing the link. I judged the book by it's title rather looking a bit further. I was just browsing on my phone after a student in between lessons and saw the listing, clicked on it and thought I'd share it for folks who might be on a budget, But you are right it is probably mahogany which is no where close to the bright sound of Ash (or even Alder for the matter) and the fingerboard is rosewood which isn't very Jerry like from the 70's onward, neck thru rather than bolt on, locking tuner style chrome or steel tail piece, active EMG's which are probably super hot p/u's and the furthest thing from that vintage "quack" and the list of how this is a bad candidate goes on, ..... So you are obviously correct, upon closer inspection it is more of Hard Rock style build.... Thanks for pointing it out to folks, not my intention to mislead someone into thinking a guitar is something it is not, Lastly, you brought up another good point in your post that I'd not considered when sharing links to thing for sale, that a beginner may take it as a recommendation. I've not looked at it from that point of view. Thanks for looking out!
