Hi there! Has anyone ever had an issue where when using an envelope filter, at the end of the ringing of a note, or the end of the decay, there is a bit of distortion? I am having this mainly when I play chords or intervals and am wondering if it is just some pedals that have this going on and not others. I had a DOD years ago that had the same kind of issue, I didn't care as much back then as I was not that picky, but my current setup is "clean as a whistle" otherwise and I'm wondering if I should be fighting with my settings etc..... or if this is just the nature of the beast.... I can make it almost completely go away when I bring the Treble down on my amp, but that screws with my overall tone for when I kick the pedal off.....anyways, I'm just wondering if this is common, or if I might just be some pedals have the issue and others do not..... I'm using an Electro Harmonix Riddle:Q Balls and really like it otherwise....

Yes, envelope filters are very hard to dial in. I am just getting acquainted with the keeley neutrino and I have had the electro harmonix q tron. there is a lot of noise in the circuits and you have to crank the gain to get the filter to open up properly. very touchy effect.

When ever I paired my Q w my 76 Twin there was always some unwanted break up
Since I switched to the SMS it's been clean

Touchy beasts for sure
