Hello everyone. So ive embarked on 2 projects. One is an Ibanez MC-300, and the other a Michael Kelly guitar. The Michael Kelly I plan on doing a complete Tiger wiring set up, and the MC-300, more of a Wolf with dual sounds, and a stratoblaster, with the added Waldo buffer. Anyway, I have a few questions. The first is if anyone has a schematic for Tigers wiring, but instead of having a 5 position switch, each pickup having its own on off switch, and only 1 tone controll. The other is about potentiometers. How important are they really? Is it gonna make a very noticeable difference if i use just a 500k CTS pot instead of a 250/500k pot? (Same question pertaining to the ibanez). So any help would be much appreciated, and I will post more pics as they come along!

I did my guitar with on off and one tone and it sounded great. The problem was the switches wearing out, I finally put a 5 way in it. I rarely used the all on or neck/ bridge options anyway. YMMV.

I have not had an issue using a buffer, 500k tone for all and the on off switches. Go for it! It may be that the sweep is a little wonkier, but still completely adjustable and useable. I haven't noticed a huge change there.

Awesome. I dont have a lot of cash to spend on pots and stuff so thats probably what im going to do. And the 3 switches are for space issues. So thats pretty much my only option at this point. Oh well

Also another question, what kind of pot should I use for the gain adjustment for the Stratoblaster?

Also, would it be recomeneded to use the 250k/250k pot for tone if im only using 1 tone for the Ibanez?

Not sure either pot is correct.

The correct volume pot is a Log Pot. The first link is to a linear pot. It may work but I would expect the volume response to be wonky.

The slope of the 2nd pot is not listed. If you look up that AB number & it's a Log pot, then that would likely be a great choice.
