Any self-respecting head should know what The Vault is. And it's moving.

This does not forbode well, methinks.

And what might Ann Coulter have to say about all of this?

well, at least Ice Nine isn't moving...

This is a leasing arrangement in which the band retains creative control. It does not include the group's music publishing arm, Ice Nine.

I dunno; maybe it really is a removal of a major point of contention between the guys. They certainly didn't seem like they were seeing anything near eye to eye on the business management, so why not let someone else deal with it, as long as you have the final say so.

Hard to believe that they aren't already financially secure, though.

as long as the dead have creative control over everything it sounds good to me, all the shit was just a burden on them. maybe now they could start touring together

So should this move effect Dick's Picks?

Totally agree!

I bet they are but the bottom line is someone is gonna make money off this so it might as well be them.

I have a feeling that DP just might start to fizzle out.

From the article:
There has already been talk of such future projects as a Grateful Dead musical production like the new Beatles show in Las Vegas by Cirque du Soleil.
Ick.

Hopefully we'll see more Dick's Picks/Vault/etc. releases. They've slowed recently (probably because of this arrangement they were waiting on), but if I was a fan, and I used the archive.org to listen to streaming shows, I would try and listen to as many as I can (or find a way to capture the streams [it can be done]). I have a feeling they're going to go away.
