Hi all,

I've been contemplating the purchase of a T.C. Helicon vocal processor (Harmony-G XT or the VoiceLive Play GTX). The main use is for solo open stage type performances...get some better vocal reverb, occasional doubling and some harmonies for tunes. Has anyone had experience with these tools or others? Most of the demo's are pretty straight performances that are meant to showcase the effects and don't do justice to the character or emotion of the song itself.

Any thoughts?

I have the Digitech Vocalist Live 3. It was pretty inexpensive and works pretty well. Has pitch control (tied to your guitar chords) and doesn't sound too sterile. Lots of harmony settings, reverb. I've found that it is best to use it sparingly, choruses, short phrases, etc. I even use it sometimes in the full band setting since our harmonies aren't that good. I hit the foodswitch, the bass player lip syncs, and we're good to go.
