I'm wondering if it's possible to modify the tone stack in a Princeton Reverb to be more Jerry-esque? The amp has no Mid knob, but as I understand it has a fixed mid setup. So would it be worth doing something like changing the bass cap to 0.1uF, and changing the mid cap to 0.015 uF?

There is a cool Headstrong Princeton Head replica on my local CL, and would like to know if this would help Jerry-ify it. Might be a fun project anyway.

It's easy.

Simply change the .1uF and .047 to BOTH .022uF 225p Orange Drops. Change the 250pf treble cap to silver mica type. If you really want to go nuts, change the cathode bypass capacitors to Sprague 150D mil-spec tantalum types.

Remove the fixed bright cap on the gain pot if it's there.

The midrange is fixed, but it's fixed in a pretty good place to be in the zone. You can definitely nail the tone quite well with that amp.

Thanks very much Brad! I need more amplifiers like I need more holes in my head. I've heard of girls becomming clothes or shoe horses (no of fence intended ) ...I think I'm becoming an amp horse.
