I've got the aforementioned master volume. I understand that the non-push variation is as simple as removing the wires to the pot, but I have read that this particular master volume has extra caps and resistors.

There are five connections (the white wire just ties into the reverb). Only one part seems to be for the master volume only, the 1k cap.

Can I just disconnect all the wires? All of the ties into resistors are at a "hub" that seem like they would still do whatever they do.

I don't know. Help?

If you keep it pushed in and set on 10, it is the same as not having it.

That is contrary to what I have been told.

They said that, even when pegged, there is a cap that bleeds off some treble.

I want sparkly high end!

Your exactly right, there is still a very small amount of measuable bleed off, but I sure can't hear the difference. I'm sure Waldo or another kind person will give ya the details. peace
