When it doesn't fit anywhere else

So I can't vouch for safety of this link (using my mac book at the moment) virus wise but it seems good.

Was messing with Estimated - our band will be adding this soon - and of course the timing is a bit weird, 7/4 or 7/8 whatever it is throughout, and I thought 'is there such a thing as a visual metronome?' cuz that would REALLY HELP! A google moment later and voila! Didn't go crazy checking out various ones - here's the first one that serves the purpose. You can adjust the beats per measure and tempo.

If I'm living under a rock and y'all are already familiar with this forgive me!

One tip that makes it easier for me... Substitute the word "And" whenever you see "7". As in... 4,5,6,And, Blurp.
Works for the "10" in PITB, too.... 7,8 9,And, D...

lol - I do the same thing - seven has two syllables and is a lame word for counting time.

Pretty cool, Billbbill.

So what tempo are you practicing along with? I am without guitar (on road visiting daughter at college) and just was tapping out the tempo and I had to go up to around 116 to get anywhere close. Just curious.

Great find!!!

Here is the one I use. Its nice because it gives a different tone for each time sig. You can input 7 for Estimated and it lets you know when the measure ends

I was counting 7 and at 63 bpm - sounds like you may have been counting 14 and thus a hair slower than me. Counting 7 as in a 7 count for the full intro lick.

I find that I actually count maybe 5% of the time, for all stuff. The rest of the time is feel. So that 5% can be a struggle at times if I don't do my homework. So to our bretheren above this little tool is helping to get me TO being able to count - another (obvious) factor is exactly how complicated is what your playing and in turn how does that effect your ability to count. After messing with this metronome I eventually got to where I could sorta count while playing the jerry parts of estimated. I say sorta cuz I was still watching my foot! The 2 syllables for 7 thing doesn't seem to bug me - it's how the riff etc. vary "away" from the beat that takes some time. A work in progress!

Nice! I like that one - the numbers larger as well.
