"And PLEASE don't blame the monitors or the idea that she couldn't hear herself. Not being able to hear herself singing would actually be, for her, a blessing in disguise. I wish I had her vantage point- maybe a certain spot in the room where I couldn't hear her either, but no such luck. It amazes me when people use this crap excuse to somehow give Donna a pass on her lack of vocal, shall we say, consistency. Just shows how musically inept they are."
Dude, I thought your original post was harsh to say the least, but, the excerpt above clearly shows you are also ignorant. I have to assume you do not play in a band, otherwise you'd know that it is really difficult to sing/play well if you really cannot hear what you're putting out. Why do you think people who are deaf cannot talk very well if at all?
As for Donna as a person, she is very personable and sweet. I've met her twice and she was nothing but very kind, talkative and cool both times. Ironically, the last time I saw her, we opened for her and the Tricksters and there were monitor problems. Once they were fixed, she sang beautifully.
If by chance you do play in a band, I hope you are really great at what you do because I'd hate to see someone critique your mistakes with the same brutality you seem to like to dish out.
