One thing I know for sure is that this subject is rather sensitive to say the least...I once ( afew months ago) joked about the "incident" and found that several people on here were rather unamuzed even though my intention was purely non-offensive. Seems to me this is a subject that should just be avoided on this board.

FWIW, my very good buddy does a lot of sound work at Bonnaroo and other major events. He was there when it went down and he told me that the bikers put jumper cables on Mike's testicles and gave him a jolt----for real.

obviously nobody here really knows if he is guilty or innocent of anything. we have the facts, of course they are to be taken with a grain of salt. whatever he did, it is now apparently settled.

can you imagine Gordon suing the Hell's Angels for assault??? how stupid would that be?

police involvement is never pleasant, usually a long and arduous process. so if there was a settlement, it probably ended soon after mike got his nuts shocked. if he sued, he would get much worse... plus, how much would he enjoy having police protection...? would the police really want to protect anyone from the Hell's Angels?

i know also that in The Phish Book, Mike talks about going to Dead shows and getting a hookup frommmm... Healy? or was it Cutler? I don't know, i don't know what era that was from but Mike said that he'd go put headphones on and be able to punch in and out each member's input, and he would punch out everyone except Phil and just listen to him. and he says that Phil actually repeated stuff!!
