For 2k you get a 37db cut with a device that has microphones so you control the cut in 4db increments!

And has an input for a feed from the SBD! I am sooooo tempted...

Total! I tried out a pair with foam and it was outstanding. The 4db cut was soooo cool!

Seems like the first option I've seen that allows multi-cuts and in-ear monitoring ability.

Finally a company figured it out it seems, depending on how well you can mix in the "ambient" stage mix within your single monitor. The idea is brilliant, with ear plugs that is the problem, not so much not hearing the instruments, but the little things, the other mishmosh of sounds that are all around us. All the sound we hear gives us a sense of balance I guess, even the unimportant noises. That is my most uncomfortable part is not hearing the little things, I normally pay no attention to. That I think is my issue with these ear protection ideas and this seems to eliminate it. I am Very interested in how it works for you.

I was thinking you could use another mic somewhere "collecting" ambient noise, but actually placing the mics closest to the ears is the optimal thing to do to get that natural feel. Great idea!
