Seriously, I don't know what is gained by doing this. This is an incredibly accepting group and the guy's band is pretty good. He could have been (and still could be) a good contributor to this community. Also, no need to trash Mattson and Kadlicek - those guys are both top-notch players and seem like genuine nice guys.

I may be a little jealous of their gigs and success but they both earned it. It was not a lottery that they won. If it was, I'd be at the gas station buying scratch-off tickets now

that being said, admit to doing something stupid and all will be forgiven. We'll all be laughing about it in a month.

No worries at all, I for one thought your comment was awesome! Being 35 I feel like I'm almost the youngest guy around a lot of the time. But the downside of being young is that I never saw Jerry. :(


Jon - we're all pretty cool here but pretty spread out geographically, so I kind of doubt that many of us will be coming to New Jersey to see you. But your band is pretty good... feel free to stay, contribute to the forum (as yourself rather than as a fake fan of yours), ask questions, answer questions, etc... just drop the shameless and dishonest self-promotion and it's all good. Only a few of us really hold grudges and those are mostly comical.

Okay. Fair enough. When I initially wanted to post the link I thought it might seem self indulgent to tout my own thing. I wanted to get some reactions-- positive or negative-- and also without the burden or anybody worrying about offending anyone (namely me). But right out of the gate it was "Who are you??" "How are you affiliated??" "Is this YOUR band??" and it kind of backed me away, maybe not exactly logical, but my instincts took over.

Sorry if I offended anyone or ruffled any feathers, just wanted to see what kind of conversations developed. Have not been here before, this seems like a very cool place. So anyway, hopefully no hard feelings. Seems like a nice enough crew around here, definitely. But again, not knowing the general vibe of the place at that point, I felt it would be better to say I saw the band and liked it rather than "Look at my band." But I see all of your points. Hopefully we can move on from here.

You will find that there are plenty of examples here of people posting their vids and asking "what do you think?" Generally, people here are too kind to come right and tell you that you suck (and I am not saying that your band sucks, just referring to your hope of getting an objective opinion), but you will get feedback.
