I'm asking this as a member not an admin....

Does any else feel it's important for new posts to be in the topic of the folder it's in?

"Grateful Dead Equipment Discussion" is the one that comes to mind. Of the 50 or so threads on the first page there are maybe a handful that have anything to do Grateful Dead Q

The other instance that I see this is song specific threads no in the song sub-category. Seems like a disservice to folks who do look in the folder.

I think the Grand Puba here has set us up nicely with goto categories.

Or should I just chill out?

It would be nice if people organized their topics a little better, sure. That's why I'm in the camp that just hits "view new posts" and sees everything that's fresh all at once.

In a perfect world, yeah, it would be better to post in the "correct" folder---reality is, no matter what any admin does, there's always gonna be someone who posts erroneously.
That said, I don't personally care, especially b/c this board doesn't get that much traffic relative to some boards I frequent.

Perhaps some folders could be eliminated ( lots are virtual deserts)
and a new one for "all equipment and tech discussions" made available. Just my 2 cents.
