Even more interesting fingering for your D and E chords up the neck - never seen anyone finger those like that...not that I'm a student of folks chord fingering or anything.

Do you mean when I'm doing the barre chords or the open chords? I don't really do a lot of self-analysis when it comes to my guitar playing, I'm trying to see what I'm doing different.

The D fingering - looks like - and correct me if I'm wrong - you've got the B & G stings with your pinky and the D string with your ring finger on the 7th fret - then same thing 2 frets up for the E chord on the 9th fret.

Most barre all three with either the ring finger or pinky.
