[Counterstriker]

Hey I was reading on http://www.dozin.com/mic/main.html , I looked up on this about a year ago, never thought much of it.. But now it seems I understand - We usually get my dad to mix us, he's familiar with our sound (His sound system). but one problem is our ryth guitarist is closer to the Bass amp and the bass amp is LOUD, It's a 2x15 kustom from the 70's. We tried turning his stage volume down and just making him loud over the house - but then he can;t hear himself.. It's weird cause when he sings for some reason it cancels our the back ground noise of the loud ass bass amp.

I was wondering how easy making something like http://www.dozin.com/mic/main.html is? Does anyone on this site use it?

the mic muter i believe were only used by the GD, later the ducker system was incorporated with them. this is when they had in ear monitors so they could talk amongst themselves with the stomp of a switch. in the monitors only, not the house. it's centered around a burglar pad that makes contct when a certain weight is applied. i have used mine for about 5 or 6 years and house guys love it!!!

here is how i made mine and a very simple perfboard layout, but your on your own for parts procurement.

Now that is funny. Neither do I really, especially when it gets beyond the relay circuit into the photo cell thing, but you can figure this out if you think about it, the relay circuit is pretty straight forward. I would try the relay Job, he only discounted this approach due to keeping costs cheap, ten more bucks for something like this and less headache seems reasonable to me. A relay can be bought as a part like a cap or a resistor from Radio shack. Actually everything can be found there, except the mat, which a burglar alarm company can get you or look online for one. get the circuit to run like the diagram placed upon a board and put in a project box. This would be a great beginners build, actually.
