I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to post it. I bet he has close to that in it though since he had some one else build it. I would also assume warmoth finished it. that adds up quick
Yeah, I built a Warmoth WGD and even after getting them to finish it I think I had 2k in it. My pickups were 3 Barden Humbuckers and they are quite a bit more expensive than DiMarzios (I know Jerry loved those DiMarzios but I really dislike them - though I wish I still had the ones I took off my Les Paul back in the 80s as someone here could've used them). My body also had a 5A quilted maple top and a 3A quilted maple back.
Still it looks pretty cool even though it's doesn't have all the guts of the Tiger, but $1,500 is a bit steep. I can't imagine that it cost that much more for him to assemble it.

I think I have roughly $1100 into mine but I finished mine myself without any veneer on it. I got the neck via soulmate too. It has the jerry guts, but at the present time, I am using an EMG pa-2 modded.
