Surprised Mike Young or Dan (rusty :-) hasn't posted this yet.

This weekend in Northwest Connecticut is a 2 day Clean Energy Festival on the Schaghticoke Indian Reservation in Kent, CT.

Mike and Dan's band Fennario is headlining Saturday night with a 4 hour show. And I have double duty on Sunday with Legion of Jerry and Shakedown back to back (that will be 6.5 hours of straight stage time for me and switching from my Jerry rig to my Bobby rig a little less than 1/2 way through! should be very interesting).

I am very excited to be playing a festie on the same bill as Fennario, I think they are great.

Anyway it should be really cool, Camping is part of the deal and SIngle day passes will be sold as well. No presales, all tickets at the gate.

I think I could figure out a way to get discounts for rukinders if any are interested in attending. Camping for the whole weekend is only 40 bucks and I would imagine single days are 1/2 that.

If any rukiinders are intersted, PM me or just reply to this post and I can see what I can do price wise.

Alot of Rukinders will be on stage, as in addition to the guys from Fennario and my double duty with Legion and Shakedown, Musician extraordinaire Fred Wilkes will be playing Bass and singing with Legion

Coolers, kids, and anything else are allowed, just no dogs.

This is going to be a very interesting Legion gig because for the first time in quite a while we are going to go total OLD school and replace the female vocalists that we usually have (we usually shoot for 76-78 and 88-91 JGB styles)...anyway we are going to replace the female vox with a Horn player! Going to try and get down and dirty with the horn. Kinda an LOJ does LOM thing.

wow that was an interesting weekend.....

I am still wet!

I heard fennario was really good Saturday (sadly I missed it as shakedown was playing a private party saturday night)....

I feel bad for the organizers....between the drama they went through getting the thing started and then the downpour ALL DAY Sunday...it was a rough weekend for them.

We still played in the rain sunday, It was fun, but get this: the power coming from generators werent providing enough juice to power the Hammond, so the Organ was out of tune with the rest of the band and it was variable depending on surges so you couldnt even really tune to him! After the first couple tunes we gave up on the Hammond and just used a piano. The horn player who played with us was INCREDIBLE though, so that was cool

Legion setlist:
Sisters and Brothers
Stop that Train
Let it Rock
Lonesome and a Long Way from Home
Tore Up
Tonight I'll be staying here with you>
Jam>
Expressway
Mission in the Rain
Mystery Train
Waiting for a Miracle

Sorry I missed you guys - I headed out Sun morning - I woke up to a leak in the tent (early!!)... grr...

I had to be back anyhow so I packed up & split at that point.

Despite the drama, it was a lot of fun - not bad for their first time organizing an event like this. It takes an inordinate amount of work just to get this kind of thing off the ground. I hope they keep it up - it'll continue to grow.

I'm sorry I missed you too, Jeff. I woke up at 9:30 to the pouring rain and all my bandmates gone. So rather than wander around shyly trying to make friends with sleepy people in the rain, I took off.

Yeah, the generator was a bit off for us, too... the lights would go out at random so we ended up playing to flashlights half the time. Kind of a cool feeling. I guess there was supposed to be wired power but it got sabotaged. These organizers must have gone through hell.

My buddy went and said Fennario was AWESOME!

I grew up around there and from what I hear the Indian politics can be very weird. Kind of amazing they were able to get anything together at all...

Wish I could have gone.
