Got some guys who come over to play once a month or so and we'd like to have the occasional gig. Not the heavy gig schedule that some of the folks here have, but just often enough to have a little fun. We're playing a lot of dead and a a few other things like The Band and Pink Floyd and whatever else occurs to us. The players are all good. Anyone who is interested, please drop me a line.

Thanks!

In my experience good keyboard players are hard to come by and most realize they are a hot commodity. Therefore I'd suggest either looking to introduce someone to the material or get ready to play out regularly and earn some dough. I think you'd be surprised how easy it is to learn the basic tunes of the GD catalog and their covers.

Strummin' I have found this to be exactly right in my 25 years of playing Dead style stuff professionally. It was always impossible to find Keys players who had killer chops and were into the Dead. Finding bass players was even harder. In the last few years (at least in my area) that has totally changed. I have 5 different keyboard players I can use for a Legion of Jerry gig and they are ALL awesome! They are all different but they all RIP. It is so nice because scheduling can be difficult, so if one cant make it, another can.
