Hi Guys,

I just had to share. I just created one of these for Troy over at PostGuitars.com. Good guy by the way. I haven't actually play one of his instruments, but hey look awesome. Anyway, you might remember me as the guy that did the Blue for Allah cover last year. I've been selling those, but waiting for someone to challenge me to make some cool new thing. Well about three weeks ago, the wait was over. Presenting the Blue Heron. I love this thing.

that is gorgeous. what a lovely piece of work. I have no custom guitar to put it on or will likely ever have one but it would be wonderful just as an art piece. Asking the price would be silly cause as much as it will be appropriate for said craftsmanship it will be but too much for my Scottish blood!

oh yeah, my wife is an artist. she agreed with above stated opinion. and we are former-quasi birders.

Peace and brotherhood and worldhoord to all.

Dave

Unfortunately ... sadly ... no. Have you? They really look great on his web-site. I have talked to him and shared a number of emails, nice guy. Maybe someday I will be lucky enough to play one.

My mom lives retired here on the water, really a large lake, but in the south, Blue heron are among the majestic birds that live in the area. She has one she watches everyday, believes it to be the spirit of my dad. I've seen bald eagles, these other all white birds that look like heron (Egrets?), ducks, geese, millions of cardinals and other small birds plus some alligators to keep them all on their toes. Its like wild kingdom and they all come so close, like they know these old lady's are they're protectors. I am going to visit her today, I am sure the Gals will get a great kick out of your piece since the Heron is the king of the water over there.... It is truly beautiful and 3D.
Sorry I didn't see you actually mentioned you haven't played the guitars, you knew that was going to be a question right? I have been interested in his work a bit, a great value for his work if they play well. I am happy you have an outlet to keep your art in production. You would have surely been on a new guitar for Jerry if he was still around, this work is very well done.

Yo Cliff -
Very nice !
I almost hit you up last week. I had a guy doing some inlay work for my guitar and one of them was made too big.
GRRRRRRRRRR.
Was gonna buzz ya up and see if you had one of them " Hawk in front of Moon " inlays laying around.
Got to get the guitar done though so didn't follow through. Maybe next time !
Keep posting your incredible work.
Peace

It's really a nice piece, but I've done more elaberate stuff. Check out the special projects section of my web-site. But, looking at it again, it is pretty cool if I do say so myself ... which I think I just did.
