Was listening back last night to the gig Playing Dead did in Lowell after the Furthur show ... the envelope sounds pretty fat and sassy now after I tweaked the preamp volume a little bit. Not really like a MuTron, it's a bit less "liquid" but very controllable with touch.

Would be interested in anyone else's settings on it to compare ...

(Excuse the big miss on the opening chord ... and after I counted it off, too ... LOL)

Agreed the AxeFX does a fine job with the effect. That's one effect that multi-effects boxes, even good ones, seem to struggle with.

sounds good, fairly responsive w/ proper quack. It reminds me a bit of those fall 77, april/may '78's where jerry's EF was really barking. 4-16 -78 fire, 4-21-78 truckin' come to mind.
For real though, Vic, this thread is useless w/o the receipt. Cough it up.

It's the same wah block settings as I gave you a while back, just pushing it harder on the input with the volume block. That and running the new "Double Verb" amp block with some extra gain to fatten it a little.

My AxeFX is 2000 miles away now. Have you upgraded to 10.1 yet? I'm psyched to try it but not the day of a show, which is usually when I see my rig again lately.

Adjust the filter block right in front of it (as I did if you open this up in the editor) and boost it till it sounds just exactly perfect ...

Are you calling the filter block and volume block the same thing?

Yes, i'm at 10.1 and i never mess w/ my stuff prior to a gig. 10.1 is cool. I've been messing around w/ the fuzz face into hiwatts and bassguy w/ a 335 type guitar. Pretty slick. Have you messed w/ the trainwreck yet? If not, do it, it's pretty satisfying. I just have the 'wreck block and a reverb block into one of my cabs.

Toying with getting a second one for use here ...

I had someone verify that my Jerry patch would run on a Standard. It will. But a used Ultra sells for like $75 less than a new Ultra, so might as well get the one that holds its value since it would be a temporary purchase.
