well, I've been surfing archive for music to listen to here at work, and every soundboard show I click is downloadable. The player doesn't seem to work, but you just stream it the old way. has anything happened relating to the soundboards or is archive having a mixup?

I had been listen to some '69 stuff. It appears it was a malfunction of sorts as they are now back to stream...

If i right click on the "streaming" songs, i can download them no problem, but you computer will "remeber " the files you played and store them in an interenet cache file, til you delete em or your system sweeps em out.

The archive can be beat. Ive done it. THere is a website that lets you store your own files. If you get the link to the stream then add that link to the file site you can download them from there. Its a lot of work but sometimes its gotta be done. Too many good sbd's out there with no one listenin to them. Not fair if you ask me.

I seem to remember that if you use FTP as if you were uploading, you could still access all the soundboard stuff and download it..

You could always get those SBDs the ol' fashioned way: trade, hop on a vine, Bn&R, B&P...

listen to some of those juicy juicy AUDs though... starting in the late 70's/early 80s with Moore, Rolfe and Glassberg they begin to blow the SBDs away. You get the honest to god pounding FOH mix and ambience as heard by the audience, not some wacky mix that is way too heavy on the vocals, keyboars and rhythm guitar and totally studio-sterile.

And of course I should have also mentioned the fine AUDs by Jim Wise (his stealth FOB at 9/12/81 is incredible!!!) and the late Jim Vita whose 6/27/83 is one of my favorite AUDs of all time.
