Anyone know anything about these amps? One came up for sale (very cheap) recently and I've been pondering one for some time.

The EQ.
The Lonestar was the most expensive amp I owned, at the time and the heaviest and very finicky room-to-room.

I heard a friends Mesa something in a small box like the II and thought it sounded outstanding!!!

What is a good price for one, in your opinion

(btw, good memory!)

I think that a good price for a head alone would be about a grand. May need some TLC for that price though. I think a nice one would be more like $1500 to $1700.

I think there are a bunch of different models like mark IIb and others.

My 10/50/100 lonestar head cost me $1250 but the maintenance killed me.

that is a GREAT price even if it was in need of work.

I only use the EQ on my Mark III if I'm using the lead channel. Middle position on the toggle is "Lead only"
