Closing of Winterland, Dead Ahead and the Doco Anthem to Beauty. There are quite a few that I haven't seen though.

There is also a terrific blues series filmed in Europe (I think for German or Scandanavian television) in the the early sixties. It's all in black and white but the sound quality is terrific.

It was German TV I believe - notice all the nice Neumann or Telefunken mics - pretty good sound for 60s era TV. The sets were cheesy but the music was awesome.

I bought the "Festival Express" for a dollar at Hollwood Video when they shut their stores down, I love watching it, especially Buddy Guy and Janis, along with the jams on the train. It is a shame they lost money on that tour, maybe that would be something common if it was successful. What an era.

Man I`ll tell you, the bonus DVD to The Grateful Dead Movie still does it for me every time. Jerry`s solo in between China/Rider and the audience clapping their hands in the air as it builds and releases and builds and releases still gives me chills and makes me pump my fist in the air. And the Weather Report Suite is exquisite how it starts with Bobby`s intro then Phil then Keith then Billy and Jerry. The first part`s vocals are prayer-like and Jerry`s slide playing can bring tears to my eyes. And his playing during Let it Grow is like the guitar is playing him. And the tone! Just amazing! Those 2 performances encapsulate everything I love about Jerry and the Jets.

When I finally got rid of all my VHS tapes, I was certain that these would come around again on DVD. Still waiting!
