I'm thinking about selling my McIntosh MC2505. Why? Because I have a McIntosh MC50 that works great for a 50W rig and also an MC2120 if I need more power. The MC2505 is kinda extra but looks cool with the blue VU meters. It only weighs 38 lbs. About 100 lbs. lighter than a MC2300.
The front glass plate is cracked in various spots but I have a BRAND NEW glass plate from McIntosh ready to install. I ALSO have a new piece of polycarbonate plastic (practically bulletproof material) cut to the exact same size as the glass plate that I was going to paint black (on the inside surface) except for where the blue meters go. It still needs to be painted and holes drilled for the knobs, etc. The clear polycarbonate plate has protective paper backing on both sides that you'd peel off before you use it.
The new glass is fine for home use if you're not going to be moving it much but the polycarbonate would be much better for a gigging amp. The new glass plate was about $120 and the custom cut polycarbonate was about $20.
I'm thinking of selling the amp for $450 (plus shipping) to an Rukind member (which works fine by the way and has an added 1/4" input on the back for the right channel which was added before I got it) along with the new glass plate and the polycarbonate plate.
If no one is interested here I might put it my local Craigslist.
