Bo was a little gruff with the band especially the bass player. After the show Bo charged folks $5 for an autograph, including my band mate who stood in line with his strat, a key, and $5 and Bo scratched his name in the guitar with the key and took the $5. Wasn't an a-hole or anything just pretty funny.I saw Bo Diddley at Penn's Landing in Philly back in the late 80's, he must have inadvertently hired jazz or studio musicians to back him up at the gig. The bass player and drummer had NO CLUE how to play the Bo Diddley beat (it was painfully obvious to most in the audience)! Bo kept glaring at the bass player and drummer who were just lost and out of their league.
Bo's patience quickly ran out
But Bo sure was pissed!!
