Do the settings here allow for this? When I click here on an active link, in contrast to every other forum I'm on, it opens the link within/over the frame containing the thread which I'd prefer not occur. Thanks. Jon S.

Jon,
this is browser dependent but..........

hold down the ctrl key on your keyboard when clicking on a link, and it should either open the link in a new window or new tab

Part of the issue is that this site is done in frames which might have some effect on how things are displayed since RUKIND is more than just a discussion board. There may be some global setting to target links to "blank" that would open them in a new tab but might be a huge pain in the ass to those who have been so kind to provide this forum to all of us. So, right click and select "open in new tab or window"

You can do a couple of things. You can use the "Upload Attachment" tab below the text window (next to the "options" tab) and load a pic that way but there's a limit to three pictures. The other thing you can do is put the pics on the intarwebs somewhere - getting a photo site like Yahoo's Flickr.com (it's free) or even Facebook's photo albums. If you use Flickr or a similar site it will give you the URL of the image or in FB you can right click and select "view image" that will put the URL in the address bar of your web browser. Select the url and copy it. Then in this window select the "Img" button and paste the image URL in that space. No limit to the number of pics there. I like using Flickr as it gives me a place to backup pics of my kids, gigs, softball games, etc.
