Chat about Equipment Info

I decided to break out the discussions regarding Jerry, Bobby or Phil tones into separate discussions:

Jerry Tone:

http://www.rukind.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=419

Bobby Tone:

http://www.rukind.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=420

Phil Sound:

http://www.rukind.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=421

I did move some topics, and will try a couple more passes.

Thanks! Gregg

One downside of this change is that there are now 4 separate areas that one must look at for new postings. In addition, some postings will be relevant across multiple posting areas. I wonder if this will lead to postings being overlooked?

I share Griz's appreciation and mk's concerns.

Thanks for the tip, Chuckles (amazingly, it never occurred to me to use that option before but I will now!).

Where is that option???

Another observation - when I go to the Bobby Tone area, it forces me to logon. Not so when I go to the 'generic' GD Equipment Discussion area.

Board Index, then there's a link at the top called "View New Posts". It's an awesome way to view the board! I like the breakouts, too... I can always make sure I don't miss anything bass-related.

Some folks don't search.
Some folks answer questions dozens of times.

The new forums appear to be set to only allow logged-in users to view them. I'd rather surf anonymously and log-in in order to post - There is a PHPBB admin change that can be made to allow different types of access. I guess breaking up the dbs into smaller sizes makes some administrative management sense, but overall I think the segregation isn't necessary, it all seems to be mostly GD equipment or related discussions. - My 2cents

thanks for letting me know, guests should be able to now view the forums. I am looking for a solution that will allow these to be categorized but still appear in the parent topic "Grateful Dead Equipment Discussion".

Thanks again, Gregg
