I always liked Day Job...still do. And yes, you can hear that Jerry enjoyed playing it. At that tempo I liked it better than what Deal became. I liked the slower chugging shuffle approach to Deal rather than the "mile a minute" take.

A Day Job with a good solo is Ventura 7/22/84. Check it out. Skip to the solo if you don't like the song. I like that brief diminished chord/scale in there.
